House Of Mambo @ Pumphouse Learn to Salsa from Beginner to Advanced on Mondays with 'House of Mambo'.
No courses, or advanced payments, the syllabus is designed around a Casual Class system for people to learn & improve on a weekly basis.
Within the class each technique is broken down for leads & followers, the class then repeats this as many times with & without music as required. This is applied to all techniques.
Studunts learn at their own pace & move up through the levels when they are ready.
Class content varies from week to week to cover the 'rolling' syllabus system.
Many students who attend the classes stay for drinks & Bar or Restaurant food (available until 10pm) so they can parctice what they've learned together in the club when the DJ starts at 9pm!
Classes:
- 6pm Beginner: Basic steps, basic footwork, balance, all basic turns, leading & following technique, understanding timing.
- 6pm Intermediate: Intermediate footwork, Linking previously learned footwork. Consolidating turns into basic turn patterns, improving balance & lead/follow technique - 7pm Intermediate level 2: Intermediate 2 footwork, longer turnpatters, new & different interpretations on previous techniques, unique techniques, ladies double spins, Leads & Followers movenent, refining lead & following technique. - 8pm Intermediate/Advanced: Int/Adv footwork, refine lead & follow technique, technical turn patterns, new & unique techniques, Ladies double spins, Leads double spins, Ladies double travelling spins, musical interpretation. Cuban Salsa and Tango @ La Cita Learn to Cuban Salsa and Tango from Beginner to Advanced on Sunday with "Ruedisima'. Courses making the classes cheaper, the syllabus is designed around improving dance on a weekly basis. Within the class each technique is broken down for leads & followers, the class then repeats this as many times with music as required to improve your time as one of the important skill. This is applied to all techniques. Students learn at their own pace & move up through the levels when we think you are ready to move. Class content varies as well as revisiting what you have done previous week to cover a rolling syllabus system.
- 5pm Tango Beginners: the art of walk improve core stability, and focus on musically technique, - 6pm Tango Intermediate: we start do important move like back & Forward 8, hooks, sacadas, enrosques and more - 7pm Beginner: Rumba step, Son Step basic Cuban body movement and Cuban tempo, how to use your core and body to enhance you dance. - 7pm Fundamental: Understanding Cuban music and how it relates to Rumba, Son, Timba, Cha-cha and Requeton. Improving balance & lead/follow technique
- 8pm Intermediate/Advanced level: Linking previously learned body movement Intermediate, unique techniques for Cuban Dance.
